API

The recognition service exchanges data in the open JSON format using the HTTP protocol as the transport, allowing integration with it from any tech stack.

The API is described in the OpenAPI format and is supplied with documentation tools and a demo application.

The recognition service can be supplemented with a storage service for recognized documents that can use both internal and external data storages.

The history can be used for searching, viewing and analyzing recognized documents.

The service manages recognition sessions. In each session you can process the document in single-shot mode with only one image, or use the aggregate result mode, in which the quality of recognition can be enhanced by using different images of the document.

Within one recognition session, you can recognize information from different sides of the document. For example, from different pages of a passport or the front and back side of a driver’s license.

Authentication
and face verification

For highly sensitive documents such as passports, driver’s licenses or credit cards, the system performs authenticity verifications.

For example, 32 different features of a passport are verified in the optical range. The results of these checks are used for anti-fraud protection.

In addition to the authenticity features, the system can also verify the faces in the document and the bearer's photo.

Verification result is shown in the similarity percentage value, which can be used as a basis for additional, detailed checking of the document.

The recognition module does not capture any biometric features; the face verification process is as close as possible to the way a human does it. The absence of stable face descriptors allows neither clustering nor recognizing the faces from the database.
